Objectives
Why should you choose us?
The general objective of the Master's degree is to provide you with highly specialised scientific-technical training in the field of Synthetic Chemistry. This training should enable you to carry out original research or development work in the field of Synthesis or to join a company that uses technology related to the preparation and manipulation of organic compounds in a broad sense. You should know that research is also very necessary in private companies. And this Master's degree is the first step towards it.
To this end, a series of courses have been designed to cover new aspects of current interest, both from the point of view of fundamental chemistry and chemical technology and the management of chemical companies. There is a demand for jobs in the world of research, don't let anyone make you believe otherwise.
Competencies and skills
You will gain competences that will make you different from the rest.
The training and the different activities described in the courses of the Master's Training Plan will allow the student to acquire the generic competences detailed below:
- Interpersonal competences: social skills, ability to work in a team, oral and written communication, acquisition of ethical values.
- Management skills: planning and management of time and resources, ability to make decisions, to lead and organise work groups.
- Cognitive competences: critical analysis and reasoning skills, creativity, problem-solving skills, use of bibliographic resources.
In addition to the competences described in the previous section, the student will acquire other more specific competences, in accordance with the curricular profile depending on the subjects chosen. Taking into account the characteristics of the Master's degree in Synthetic and Industrial Chemistry, students must acquire both theoretical and practical skills.
